a thoroughly busy weekend that has just passed.
with activities ranging from playing at kenneth's cuzn's wedding
(and getting paid 70 bucks for playing 20 seconds HEHEHE)
TO discovering a precious thots jewelry box while shopping for mother's day presents with mac (and deciding to get it for myself instead HEHEHE)
TO our funny stargazing outing at the playground, where we spread out mac's SIA stolen blanket on the hard concrete floor and watched the moon and STAR, perfected with peach & lime bacardi (:
TOa horrible start to mother's day, but then a funny and interesting end, including bbq dinner at the yacht club (where i ate HELL alot), and a trip to the arcade for 4player daytona games!

a conversation we had after we left the arcade -
dad: where do lizards go after they lose their tails & wanna getit back?
me: tail regrowth centers
dad: nope
me: the lost & found
dad: nope. the reTAIL outlet.

haha ok no we werent that mean. but STILL.

argh weekends always pass too quickly. way too quickly.
tmr its back to work. AGAIN.

oh and mac had his first bible study ytd night
taught by.. me! wee~
just because i had to prep to lead BS today
and so he was my pseudo student for the night! (:
so cute. he had so many questions. lol
but we're making headway (:
so its all good. all in God's grace.

tonight tekong has decided to steal my bf away
but just for 4 days (:

so in the past few days, i have laughed because:
(x) regina walked down the streets of town in cute bathroom slippers from watson cuz her sandals broke halfway while crossing the road
(x) mac fell aslp during the horror movie "when a stranger calls". because it was a midnight movie, and cuz it was bookout day, and because the movie.. SUCKS!
(x) our hottie from NUM has decided to present his name in celine's phone inbox! woots!
(x) so many people wore white to church today. even tho all of us are the only syncrhonized wearers of white and denim! hehe. covert supporters of PAP maybe.

another new week starts tmr.
my work time has been pushed back to start at 9am!
woohoo u have no idea how much that half an hour of slp means to me
it means like THISSSS much

ok i take my entry about work before this back.

on hindsight, i do have a great job.
where else do u find a job which pays you about 1k, just to do nothing?
wait, not nothing. i rephrase.

so when i think of it in that light, i feel happier (:

a blog-worthy event that occured (or not really that so) is waffles tuesday
after an endless absence of the cheap thrill to catch gelare's 50% off for waffles, i finally did have waffles at just $4.50!!
it somehow makes the waffles taste even sweeter than it alr is.
and since it makes me happy, i made the people around me happy too.
namely, jeremy and shank. HEHE~
i made them eat waffles with me since they wanted to meet up.
not surprisingly, it did not fill their stomachs. nor were they satisfied at the two lumps of whipped cream on the waffle that was the result of shank's request "can i have more whipped cream please?"
HEHE~ nonetheless it did fill my stomach. and the whipped cream was enough for me (: hence, im a happy & satisfied girl.

ok tho it did spark up a certain green-eyed monster.
"the green-eyed monster doth mock the meat which it feeds on"
but after the green-eyed monster changed its eye color
all was good once again (:

so after pool we decided to try our all-time favorite: bishibashi
only to be disappointed by our deproved abilities

yes, the title does account for the fact that i was squealing/humming/cheering or whatever you call it with joy just now. when i received my big fat NUS package (: yes, it was with all smiles and eager hands that i greeted the brown package tt my grandfather handed to me. because i knew i prayed for it. and i got it.

this time, it was the "arts and social sciences" that was in bold print. but nonetheless, it still gives the same reaction (: all smiles (:

ok admittedly i was bombarded with LOTS of info on my 1st day of work.
different terms and names and this and that.
esp since my firm is a financial firm.
i think that sentence explains it.

intriguing, but enlightening.
to learn about the financial system
to learn about brokers, dealers, and futures
to deal with numbers, calculations, and orders
intriguing, but truly enlightening.

im blessed with really awesome colleagues (:
who make me feel quite at home.
even tho its only my 2nd day of work.
yeah, still many things to learn and pick up
but im catching on.

one downside. i did filing today
not like, the worksheets we had to file in sch
but THICK stacks of info on customer's accounts
and i had to go through each & every one of the files
enduring funny names like "Mr Joy" (nope, no spelling error)
before i can stick a piece of paper in the folder
not exactly fun when u get blistering hands after.
but what to do. its part of the job.
