today saw a visit to the milchfarm in münster. no pictures from me tho, because my camera is DEAD :(
it got caught in the rain ytd, and the entire thing short-circuited. GARHHH.
but the milkfarm was interesting. we saw the electronical-milking process, and got to eat free yoghurt (:

anyway, more pictures to tell the story from my side (:

beautiful isnt it?
i think i can take pictures here forever if i stayed here.
been cycling around the state quite abit. it is a bicycle state afterall.
having a bike here is like having a car. you can get everywhere anywhere anytime.

we exchanged a shorter bike with lionel today so that janice could ride as well
in all excitement, we only realized he kept the key to the bike when he reached home -.-
so much for cycling to school tmr.
but its all gooood (:

ok heres an abrupt ending for an abrupt entry
hope you enjoyed the pictures (:

2nd week of munster begins (:

ich habe keine zeit für ein lange.. uhh, post.
so i'll just upload pictures once again to keep everyone updated! (:

ok firstly, on friday we went for the eurocityfest (:
its a largest party of munster that is held annually in the city
something like a huge carnival that involves everybody, with free beer, lots of food, games, and bands

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

we didnt take much pictures, honestly, cuz it was kinda boring for us
all the bands sang in german, and the food.. well, lets just say, they're german food and i've had german food for the past week. im really missing chinese food now

then over the weekend, we took a train to köln and bonn for an excursion (:
took lots and lots of pics, so here're some of them.

natalie, janice and i at the bahnhof (station) waiting for our train

the famous dom at köln

we climbed all the way to the top - 509 steps altogehter
something like climbing the statue of liberty, and part of the eiffel tower lol
but the view up at the top was fantastic (:

we also visited the schokolade museum, where they showed us the entire process of manufacturing chocolates, and how they package them into different shapes and sizes
they had sooo much chocolate in there in different stages, including this:

NUTELLLAAAAAAA.... (:

and, in case you were wondering, i bought back quite some marzipan chocs (:
together with chooclate-liquor and marzipan-liquor. HEE :D

we stayed at a youth hostel for the night. and it was surprisingly clean and neat
it was 4 people to a room, with our own attached bathroom and toilet.
that night we had an "uno-party" in the guys' room cuz we were too tired to explore the other parts of the city >.<

anyway, on sunday we took a train down to bonn, and took a city tram to the city center
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

and had lunch at dunkin donuts!!! ((: ((: ((:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
look at our happy faces (:
it was sooooooooooo good :D

we also went to the beethovenhaus!! the house where beethoven was born in and lived in
its like one of those places you have to go to as a musician
so you can die happy as a musician knowing you've touched beethoven's piano,
or seen the actual viola he played, or seen his written scores, or his life&death masks
reallyy intriguing (:

ok its late here now. been having lessons everyday.
i dont even study that hard in nus! :(
sad to say, my german is still.. below average. garhhh.
slow and steady....

many happenings

its really late noww, and i just came back from grillabend.
a mini bbq of german food and sausages and all that.

uploading some pics for those who requested (:
hope it keeps you updated!
this is a pic of the aasee river at sunset. really beautiful and breathtaking.

das is alles für heute.
really tired now. went clubbing ytd and slept late.
and the music wasnt even good
even the cheap beers couldnt get us high we were more high on laughing at each other on the dance floor
till next time..

from a distance

baby, its really good to hear your voice,
saying my name it sounds so sweet..
coming from the lips of an angel
hearing those words it makes me weak
and i never wanna say goodbye...
.

ich vermisse dich soviel Liebling..

day 2 in munster

our first sunday in munster was pretty nice.
all the shops are closed in germany on sundays, so we decided to stay-in and just laze around
natalie came over from werlandstrasse, and we cooked up a storm of a lunch for ourselves since the entire family went out for mother's day celebrations (:
did i mention, that the man of the house is a CEO of a large food company?
they have TONS of food laying around in the cellar, and we were told to have anything we liked for lunch
so janice and i made up 2 large pizzas, and baked up 4 already-marinated-fish-fillets for lunch
omgggg. IT. WAS. HEAVEN.

anyway. we went for teabreak at this place called the schlossgarten (read: castle garden)
had quite a nice time catching up with the other students on exchange here
and then we visited the botanischer garten with lionel's host family
(who knew almost everything about flowers, history, and about everything)

all of us went trigger happy in the garten, simply because it was sooo beautiful
these were some of the shots

the flora there were absolutely stunning, and their colours breathtaking
here's a shot of us with lionel's host man
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

and janice and i with our wonderful host family! (:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

at night, we had a family dinner with our host, including their daughters and their boyfriends
they cooked up a typical german dinner, with potatoes, asparagus, steak, and carrots
it was so nice, that i even had carrots tho i dont like carrots
but everyone was speaking too quickly for me to catch much of what was exchanged in german
all i understood was: langsam sprechen für die Singapurer bitte
read: speak slower for the singaporeans please.

maybe the lessons starting tomorrow will help a little..
