i also got a new haircut.

but other than that, ive pretty much done nothing except lay around, nursing my throbbing head, and my imminent threatening cough.

i finally got my tiramisu from TCC.

a new day

theres this nagging feeling inside me which refuses to go away.
it's getting rather worrisome, cuz altho i ignore it, its constantly there.
and its making me feel all sentimental, maudlin - EMO.
so while im trying rly hard to close my zipper on these emotions
my emo-bagpack just feels as if its ready to burst right open
and spill out its content for everybody to see.

no, it has nothing to do with the fan-TAS-tic banana split i juz had.
home-made banana split, nicely squashed into a cartoon bowl
it was passed around the couch in delight
leaving little or none for my poor mama
who made it in the first place OOPS.

and no, it has nothing to do with the awesome day i had
at the Defence Technology Intl Conference
haha makes us sound so big and important
but we were actually juz the reception staff =p
ticking names off some looonnngg list and finding cool ID tags for the people who were the owner of the names so that they can attend the conference in peace
haha it was loads of fun, all tt foreign french indian pakistani++ names popping up.
and also cuz i spent 95.9999% of the time catching up with seokkk!
and we both got 40 bucks each of CASH juz for doing that (:
plus an awesome lineup of desert -drools- like tiramisu, pastries, & more cakes.
PLUS lunch PLUS impt pple (who made us feel impt too)
so it was pretty worth it!
we got our own ID tags, complete with our pictures on it
(altho my pic was squashed up to fit the small corner so my face looks damn FAT)



but it was an experience (:

so after blurting out all those nonsensical voyeuristic info above
catharsis has done its trick again - i feel better already.
the rest of the days have been spent bumming around, literally.
because i have been on my bumm all day long ever since i got retrenched.
catching up wit friends, gorging myself wit food, and TEEVEE!!
recipe for a couch potato. and soon to be, fatass. (yes, literally)
my tug-of-war with weekends brings me closer to victory with each day tt passes

but also one day closer to saying byebye to my beloved sista

amidst the confusion and noise in my heart
i was reminded by a special someone of that special verse
it surprised me. it really did.
it came from a non-christian. someone who barely knew God except frm chapel.
not only did he display faith in God
but at that point in time, he even had more faith than i did.
and i was touched beyond words.
i was almost in tears.
because altho i was down, i was feeling exuberant inside.
and utterly totally encouraged by his faith (:

from esplanade, to fullerton, to VCH, then to the padang
it was really beautiful and cooling at night!
and i lurvvee the buildings tt were silhouettes of the colonial rule
makes it feel like you're walking thru the pages of history (:
complete with fake british accents hahaha.

ohoh im gonna be taking part in the International Technology Conference (:
so fun haha. its gonna be held at shangrila!
its gonna be interesting working there. hopefully!

so i guess, once again, everything has turned out fine or ok.
despite certain lows, and certain downs
so.. this ball's bounced back again (:

another day goes by..

sometimes i just wonder..
why some people over-react the way they do
or how some people can just fall off the face of the earth like it doesnt matter
or why some people can treat each other with such judgmental eyes
or simply, what people are actually thinking about deep inside.

and sadly, i really dont know any of the answers.

sometimes, you wake up knowing that its gonna be a bad day
and you hope to god that ur gut feeling goes away
but at the end of the day, u come to realize y tt feeling came about in d 1st place
and you realize ur gut instinct was right. SADLY.

my day was like a bell curve. which started on a low, climaxed to a high at midday, and then fell to all time low by midnight.



so i guess when its all the way down
the only way to go is up.
now i just have to make myself believe that.

there'll be those rainy days where there'll be this gush of emotions.
they seem to come from nowhere, and rush at u all at once.
a combination of a lack of slp and many many other factors

starting from today, i'll have lots and lots of free time.
WHY??
because this gurl has been - FIRED. fire + letter d.
yes, retrenched, let off, whatever you call it.
either way, im job-LESS as of now.

reason?
a rather funny ha-ha reason (at the pt in time)
because i didnt want my work time to b changed frm 9am to 8am
(because tt means i'd have to leave the house by 7am
which also means i have to wake up at 6am
which also means i'll be dead in about.. one day)
as the saying goes - once a pig, always a pig.
so i guess pigs get retrenched.

but on the bright side, no more early mornings! (:
no more getting paid for doing nothing
and no more having to squeeze with d rush-hour-crowd who're all late like me
haha (:

so after bout a month of admin work at shenton way,
i know i definitely wont miss our lady boss
neither will i miss the office tt has the aircon on FULL blast
i wont miss sitting RIGHT in front of the boss's boss's office
and hearing him scold lazy people (and feeling guilty)
i also wont miss the games i played during office hours
in fact, im REALLY sick of minesweeper, websudoku AND neopets

BUT!!
im really gonna miss my colleagues :(
my wonderful jokers and lunch buddies
who are the only reason i look forward to work
and who've been helping me endlessly since ive started (:
for making me laugh endlessly when work was boring
jack, sudarpo, franky and lawrence.
im so gonna miss them. a LOT.

for badminton (with aircon!) & dinner @ my place. again! lol

with activities ranging from playing at kenneth's cuzn's wedding

TO discovering a precious thots jewelry box while shopping for mother's day presents with mac (and deciding to get it for myself instead HEHEHE)
TO our funny stargazing outing at the playground, where we spread out mac's SIA stolen blanket on the hard concrete floor and watched the moon and STAR, perfected with peach & lime bacardi (:
TOa horrible start to mother's day, but then a funny and interesting end, including bbq dinner at the yacht club (where i ate HELL alot), and a trip to the arcade for 4player daytona games!

a conversation we had after we left the arcade -
dad: where do lizards go after they lose their tails & wanna getit back?

dad: nope
me: the lost & found

so in the past few days, i have laughed because:
(x) regina walked down the streets of town in cute bathroom slippers from watson cuz her sandals broke halfway while crossing the road
(x) mac fell aslp during the horror movie "when a stranger calls". because it was a midnight movie, and cuz it was bookout day, and because the movie.. SUCKS!
(x) our hottie from NUM has decided to present his name in celine's phone inbox! woots!
(x) so many people wore white to church today. even tho all of us are the only syncrhonized wearers of white and denim! hehe. covert supporters of PAP maybe.

another new week starts tmr.
my work time has been pushed back to start at 9am!
woohoo u have no idea how much that half an hour of slp means to me

on hindsight, i do have a great job.
where else do u find a job which pays you about 1k, just to do nothing?

so when i think of it in that light, i feel happier (:

a blog-worthy event that occured (or not really that so) is waffles tuesday
after an endless absence of the cheap thrill to catch gelare's 50% off for waffles, i finally did have waffles at just $4.50!!
it somehow makes the waffles taste even sweeter than it alr is.
and since it makes me happy, i made the people around me happy too.
namely, jeremy and shank. HEHE~
i made them eat waffles with me since they wanted to meet up.
not surprisingly, it did not fill their stomachs. nor were they satisfied at the two lumps of whipped cream on the waffle that was the result of shank's request "can i have more whipped cream please?"
HEHE~ nonetheless it did fill my stomach. and the whipped cream was enough for me (: hence, im a happy & satisfied girl.

ok tho it did spark up a certain green-eyed monster.

but after the green-eyed monster changed its eye color
all was good once again (:
