49 to 56

ytd was HAPPY-BIRTHDAY-DAD day, but my dad was overseas
he came home today, and i went to pick both mom&dad at the airport
my sister, grandfather and i had a nice bday surrpise planned for him when he got home, and it all went well until....
we realised my grandfather had accidentally made my dad 56, instead of 49 years old this year by putting an extra BIG candle (i think he couldnt tell), and then realised there was no space on the cake for 3 more small candles, so just left it as 56
if it was any consolation, one of the small candles burnt down to nothing by the time my father blew the candle, so he's technically only 55

i went through more than 300+ photos, looking for the perfect ones to put on the collage
i think i literally scrolled through the pages of my dad's life through the eyes of these photographs
and i must say, it was heck of an interesting one.

to end off on a random note, the UC has reviewed my application and transcript, and have decided to bump me up to my 1st choice for SEP --> UCLA!!
i'm going to UCLA for fall quarter baby!!
