after-rain beauty

you know when you wake up in the morning
and you look out the window to see
the sun gently shaded by the wools of cloud forming in the sky

its days like these, that make me feel all fuzzy inside

double-date dinner @ outback steakhouse today for victor's 20th birthday ((:
i finally found someone who suffers the same fate as me
although he is still one day younger than me.
the food was pretty good! although the portions were pretty small for its price.
but i was too happy wit myself for driving to millennia walk without actually knowing where it was to bother bout the portion
hehe~ and then i accomplished feat #2 by driving to yacht club to pick my parents up.

20th birthday

this 20th birthday was a blast ((: it was one of my nicer birthdays that i can remember.
a cozy occassion, celebrated with the people who mean a lot to me.
this birthday was pretty special. it consisted of a pre-birthday, the birthday itself, and then a post-birthday celebration hahaha.

pre-birthday
pre-birthday was spent with the alcohallics!! ((:
we went to settlers for 4 hours of games, food, and fun. taboo was taken to a whole new level that day hehehe.
and then kevin teo and michelle came together with mac after work, and plan A of having a quiet dinner to countdown to the birthday was replaced with plan B of laughing at each other and killing zombies with dices when we decided to play more board games till late. hahaha.
we counted down at walawala & breko ((: pretty tann.
i would say it was a rather perfect night minus the heavy rain which refuses to dry up.

birthday plans itself were pretty jumbled due to the unexpected downpour which lasted 24 hours gah.
so mac came over to my crib for some movies, hot chocolate, and donuts.
and then it was steamboat seafood buffet @ copthorne orchid with the family.

midnight movie + stayover after that ((: with special compliments hehe..
(tho the movie fur pretty much sucked)

alcohallics

today was trigger happy day with the alcohallics ((:
a failed bidding process rendered the four of us successfully free on waffles tuesday
which was more than a reason sufficient to go.. shopping!!
although theres no direct link there heehee.

there were many successful and failed attempts at capturing the abstract, and hence i shall feature my favorite one of them all - huishi and her ghost.


and then there were attempts at capturing the un-posed human expression, which ended up with a variety of expressions, ranging from love-lorn and candy-begging expressions..


to the i'm-bored, the i'm-lost, and the i'm-thirsty expressions..

back to school

the start of school today was pretty slack. since there was no tutorials nor were there german classes
i went to school at 2pm, and my classes ended at 4pm, and that was about it for the day
i like it that way ((:

im quite happy with this semester. im doing pretty interesting modules with my favorite-st people (:
time to pull up my measely cap score, and maybe my cca life

anyway today my mom got lost while coming to pick me up from school
i was in central library when she called me:

mom: hey joy im lost.
me: where're you?
mom: well.. i see aluminium house next to me right now, and on my right theres cheese
me: HUHH?!

*in the background i hear my sister scream*
sis: its ALUMNI house and CHEERS!

all: hysterical laughter

somehow the night just brings out emotions and feelings that are somewhat absent in the presence of sunlight

today was our sports day with the gurls, whom i've finally met up with properly since the holidays started
its about time!! hahaha

today marks the of our little holiday, and at the same time signals the start of reality perhaps.

it has been a great one month. reliving the days of agenda-less freedom and whimsical abandonment

now is the time to pull in on the reins, tighten the ropes on fleeting enjoyment, and maybe put on those thinking caps and glasses once again

as for today..

driving to town and then parking at NAFA and then driving home - $2.10 (petrol not included)

fight off giant spiders on the lovers' jungle trek game, and pick out anomalies on Y2k photo hunt - $20.00

watch "stranger than fiction" at the cathay cinema - $18

dinner at BK and lunch at the foodcourt - idk not i pay

time spent and happiness derived from the experience with you - priceless ((:

princess diaries

there are 4 shows that i can watch over and over (and over) again and not get sick of it at all
and princess diaries is one of em



shoot me for wanting a happy ending.

just for the record, i've watched princess diaries (one, two sucked) 4 times and counting
and as for the other 3 shows - pirates&thecaribbean (9), cinderella story (5), and the prince&me (4)
all tentative figures ((:

today we had our new year's gathering @ marc&megan's place, and we spammed movies
which was how i realized that marc watched a LOT of tv, because he knew exactly which scenes of his LASER DISCS had sexual or violence scenes
and then he conveniently fast forwards to those scenes.

princess diaries came to the rescue soon after.

a long drive home, and a long nice talk.
a nice start to a whole new year, if i may say so myself ((:

well, heres a customary post to usher in 2007, so to everyone.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! ((:

the last few weeks of 2006 have been busy and tremendously fun

getting to try many new things, know many more people, get in touch with my inner self, and just having lots and lots of fun

from bowling and kayaking with the whole camp (to paddling away furiously trying to escape the 4 kayaks which were trying to capsize us), to watching movies together with so many friends, to midnight movie adventures that involved speeding frm vivocity to marina square to catch our late movie, to stayovers, to the midnight cruises, to the countdown with the people who i've been counting down with for as long as i can remember

all these, plus all the great times i've had in this year, is what i'll remember when i look back upon 2006

with that said, heres to an even better and more blessed 2007 year ahead! ((:
