cooped in a cooper

i drove junyan's mini cooper today!! (:(:
yes, i know its really cheapcheap thrill (for me, not him) but its my first time in a cooper after all
it would really have topped my list of dream cars if not for the fact that it was so low, has a heavy accelerator pedal, and only has 2 doors
but its definitely a nice car - any sponsors would be gratefully accepted (:

the past few weeks have been rather hectic (as usual)
from joshua's 21st party to exciting stomp practices, from shopping to outdoor bible study, from church kbox session + buffet dinner to the visiting of new places for lunch outside school
from the arrival of our new murano to the arrival of our new maid (yay!)
it has been a very busy but exciting 2-3 weeks

also, in my attempt to save on NUS parking fees today, which, are excessively exorbitant
i brought both mine and my mom's laptop to acer hospital to get them fixed for their respective illnesses during my lunch break
and got my laptop reformatted back to the acer image (:
it feels like brand new now, and its soo much faster as compared to when it held the NUS image
after which i met the parents @ yacht club for a nice lunch with a nice view before returning back to school for classes (:

yes, feels like i've accomplished quite some today (:

the food was glorious.. so here're just some of the interesting foods we had

birthday (backside) buns. which was hilariously entertaining


fried giant pepper prawns with their backsides stuffed in a sliced pineapple
but it was superrrrr nice

the only people who were ontime and the only people who consumed 4-5 plates of peanuts while waiting

there was sooo much food there (i think it was a 10-course meal, no?) i think i reversed all my efforts @ swimming and pilates class
there was a strawberry fondue to top off all that, arranged beautifully in the shape of a flower bouquet
i had alot of that course, naturally.

speaking of food, today was DG day, after which i went to ngeeannpoly for lunch with ernest, zhenjie and lide
i know its absolutely random, but thats the first time i've seen the inside of NP proper even tho i go pass it everyday

sunday saw yet another stomp practice, that was actually really fun
its pretty amazing how fast things get put together this time round, and how fast it works out
after that mac&i met my mom for some bag shopping and she got herself a gorgeous Balenciaga bag

i know im a little late for this, but i just wanna thank all those who made my birthday one that i'll never forget (for better or worse)
i came home from the 2nd day of celebrations, lugging all of these


prolly the most presents i've ever gotten at one go from all of you bright shiny peeps(:
for the 2 days of celebrations, i've thoroughly enjoyed myself
from the people calling/msging/msn-ing/facebooking their happy birthdays and showering me with loads of love and presents, to the family & familyfriends badminton to wii-ing at my place, to the grand birthday cake to chorused birthday songs, to the lovely birthday dinner @ mt faber to the lovely gifts, to the candle-midnight-surprise, and perhaps even the part where i got thrown into the pool...

just wna say that, i've been loved, and thanks for all tt lovin' (:

i thought i was growing too old for zouk/phuture
but after 4 tequila shots, 1 (whats that called lide), 2 jugs, and 1 chivas, zouk/phuture was my thing again (:

firstly, a very happy new 2008 year to everybody! (:
for what its worth, 2007 was one heck of a year with real fond memories, complete with its own ups and downs, happys and sads, successes and failures
the end came with a big bang as well, especially in this last december

so for good times and memories sake, here's whats been happening before we waved 2007 goodbye

so all of us came prepared to sing in our multi colored ponchos
it was a memorable night, because after we trooped up the stage (with multiple stage lights on us) the rain stopped, so the entire choir began to strip off our ponchos ON STAGE

i managed to meet up with the rumbo girls for a christmas NERD party as well @ sharon's!!
i think i lost some pounds at the tummy that night cuz i couldnt stop laughing, esp during monopoly
it was sooo great to meet up with the girls again, although it was a short gathering :(

i met up with shaiwan, seok and cherie as well for dinner/supper @ spaggedies on the same day
same same people, but different in our own ways (:
and, we're all flying off to different places in this year itself.

2008 looks great. and i cant wait to experience it (:
